• If you would like to donate, bring clean desi clothes, accessories, and footwear in good condition that you're ready to donate

• $5 in cash or venmo for the entry free

Why we are doing this

• Creating a community closet - Many people have beautiful desi clothes sitting unused, while also looking for new options. We want to exchange items from across our community’s wardrobes, so every piece of clothing finds a loving home.

• Textile waste crisis and recycling - Fast fashion and clothing production are major contributors to climate change, and there are few places to donate South Asian clothing specifically. Most items given to Goodwill will end up in a landfill. We will take your objects and find the right home for it - whether that involves reuse, textile recycling, or upcycling.

• Create circular fashion - We want to create circulation instead of bigger landfills by connecting people giving away clothes with those seeking new pieces, or who just want to browse.

• Build community - We want to provide a space for sharing stories, experiences, and treasured items while fostering connections around sustainable practices.
