The Curriculum CHEST
Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo was many things: daughter of the Mexican Revolution, survivor, painter, and fierce defender of her own story. When illness and injury left her bedridden, she picked up a brush and painted herself into history. Discover how Frida used art to reclaim her body, celebrate her Indigenous heritage, and push back against a world that tried to define her. We will look closely at her paintings, tour her legendary Blue House, and then make our own zines filled with self-portraits, flowers, and journal reflections.
